About The Wellness Project with TLB

Tammie Letroise Brown, health and wellness coach

I'm Tammie Letroise Brown, the coach and writer behind TLB Health Coaching. I work with busy professionals, burnt-out moms, and adults who found out later in life that their brain has always worked a little differently — and who are done being told to just try harder.

This site is my content home. It used to be a Substack newsletter; now the long-form writing lives here, year-round, across the three areas I actually coach in: ADHD and late diagnosis, career, and everyday wellness.

My approach is neurodiversity-affirming. That means I start from the assumption that nothing about you needs fixing. We look at what your days genuinely demand, what your brain genuinely does well, and where the friction is — then build supports around that. No shame, no productivity theater, no pretending a system built for other people should have worked for you.

Credentials, in plain language

NBC-HWC

Nationally Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach. In plain language: I passed a national board exam through the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching after completing an approved training program and supervised coaching hours. It's the same credentialing body health systems use — it means my coaching follows an evidence-based, client-led standard.

ADHD Coaching Certification

A specialized certification in coaching ADHD brains: executive function, time blindness, emotional regulation, motivation and follow-through, plus how masking and late diagnosis shape adult life. It's training in how to work with your wiring — not in diagnosing or treating it.

MS, Lifestyle Health Sciences & Coaching

A master's degree in the science behind behavior change — sleep, movement, nutrition, stress physiology — and how to translate research into something that fits a real, unpredictable week.

Coaching on various platforms

Beyond my private practice, I coach ADHD adults through other ADHD-specific coaching platforms — that adds up to real hours with late-diagnosed professionals and parents, which is exactly the audience I write for here.

Coaching, therapy, and medical care — what's the difference?

Coaching is forward-looking and practical. We start where you are today and work on how you plan, decide, recover, and follow through. I don't diagnose, treat, or prescribe, and I don't need a diagnosis to work with you.

Therapy is clinical mental health care, delivered by a licensed professional. It can go into trauma, depression, anxiety, and the deeper history behind patterns. Many of my clients do both — they pair well.

Medical treatment — evaluation, diagnosis, medication — comes from a physician, psychiatrist, or qualified clinician. If something you bring to a session belongs with a clinician, I'll say so directly.
